I have recently tried to install some additional memeory
MY Compaq Evo D310. However on booting the PC up I have
been promted for saving new configs after it found the
memeory and then the PC hangs and doesn't proceed to run
the OS. I have tried all combinations of memory including
removing the new memory and putting the old sticks back
in. The only working solution I have is to revert back to
the original 256mb ram which came with the PC. Can anyone
help?

Thanks
Adam

Your new memory may not be compatible with the
old. Check Crucial's memory configurer at
http://www.crucial.com to make sure you bought the
right type. Then run a few passes of memtest86
(download it from http://www.memtest86.com).
