When I have turned on my computer and i connect hardware (for instance a multi-card reader or a printer) on my usb-port the computer freezes. I have to ctr-alt-del to restart my computer. There is no problem when I put the multi-card reader in the usb-port befor I start-up the computer. Recently I have upgraded from Windows Me to windows XP, using the clean update. I need trhe hardware detection for installing my printer hp photosmart 7150, which must be installed with computer turned on.

Can any-body telle me what's wrong

Have you updated to the SP1 patch?
That might fix issues with USB

Good luck
