I want to install a larger hard drive. Is there any way to transfer the
files on my C drive to the new drive and not have to reinstall windows and
lose all of my registry entries. Thanks, Ray Holt

Scronis True Image or Norton Ghost

Most hard drives either come with utilities to clone the old drive to the
new, or you can download one from the drive manufacturer's web site.

Failing that, there are several programs you can buy to do this, such as
Acronis True Image.

Retail new drive kits should come with software to copy the old drive to
the new. If it's an OEM unit, then go to the new drive manufacturer's
web site and download their drive copy software.

Another option is to use drive imaging software to copy the drive, such
as Norton Ghost, Acronis True Image or Terabyte Unlimited's Image for
Windows.

Just make sure, once the copy is made, and before booting up with the
new drive disconnect the old drive, install the new as primary master
and boot up. After that you can install the old drive as a slave drive
if you want.
