New Graphics Card?

B

Bob

I'm building a new PC and need to purchase the graphics card. Given my
setup (ASUS a8n32 sli, amd 4800) it will need to be SLI and I was
wondering what advice others might have?

My motherboard is ASUS, so would it be best (fewer conflicts or other
problems) to buy a grapics card also made by ASUS?

Is it better to buy to buy two lower level SLI cards (2 x 6800 vs. 1 x
7800 GTX) for the same money as a higher level single card?

Any favorite review sites for graphics cards?

The price on the new 7800 GTX 512 makes me choke it's so high and it
doesn't seem fast enought to justify the price differential, but maybe
I'm missing something and need to look at it again.

Thanks!

Don't buy into SLI - it's all a big con.

Get a 7800GTX.

1 6800GT is faster than two 6600GT. Don't know if it's the same for the 7800
family.

You Can Pick up a pair of 7800gt 256mb cards for about $650 US.
This would put you graphics near the very top of the food chain.
