I am trying to install XP Home on my laptop, but the
display driver that comes with XP Home on the CD causes
the installation process to hang when it tries to switch
from VGA mode to using the installed display driver.
I had a similar problem when installing Windows 2000,
except that the installation program did not assume that
the driver worked until installation was complete and it
was trying to boot for the first time into Win2k.
I'm sure there must be a way to supply a different driver
at install time (i.e. one that might work), rather than
having the setup process hang every time.
Does anyone know how to do it?
Thanks in advance,
