New Connection Wizard Problems

I just loaded XP Pro. I have both a USR 56k modem and
Efficient Networks 5360 external DSL modem running through
an Ethernet card. I ran the New Connection Wizard to
establish my DSL connection and everything went fine until
I got to the "Getting Ready" page. I selected "Set up my
connection manually" option. When the page stepped
to "Internet Connection," the only option allowed is
#3, "Connect using a broadband connection that is always
on." That is keeping me from establish either a dial-up
or a DSL connection. The USR modem and Ethernet card both
show in Device Manager and seem to be working fine. Can
anyone help?
