new computer - how to transfer old settings

how do I get all my contact information and old e-mails on
to my new computer? I can't figure out where to find the
files. I tried exporting to a .pst file, but it won't let
me import them into Outlook 2003

Do not export but just copy your pst-file to the new computer. Use File->
Open-> Outlook Data File... to conncect to it.

If you use a CD-R for this copy the file back to the harddisk and remove the
"" Read Only" file property before opening.
