Transferring .pst files; denied permission

C

Cecil

I have been setting up a new desktop compter in my home and
transferring files out of Outlook on my old computer to the
new one. Everything has worked fine doing exports and then
import of .pst files. I have transferred all my files
using this method. However, when I exported my contact
files into a .pst format and try to import them into
Outlook, I received a "permission denied" message. When I
go gack to my old Outlook, the Contact file is gone and I
can't import the created Contact file back into its
original location. Again, I get a "permission denied"
message. Help!

Make sure the exported .PST file did NOT become marked as READ ONLY in the
process. A Read Only .PST file will produce such an error.
