How do I delete text in new blank document without having to "Save" the
change? It comes up each time I click on new document. Anyone know what I
did???

Cindy:

Word creates new documents by copying certain things from the template you
specify. (If you don't specify a template in the File > New dialog box, then
Word uses Normal.dot.)

It copies the style definitions, the page layout, and any intial content
from the template.

That means you probably inadvertently added initial content to your
Normal.dot.

Try opening that file directly (use File > Open rather than double-clicking
in Windows Explorer) and seeing if there's text in it. Delete it if there is.
