New Background Program Appears

Suddenly something called cftmon.exe is running from a Run line in HKCU.
Answers That Work says it's related to "Text Services and Speech" and that
the latter should be "disabled" in the Control Panel. I don't find such an
entry in the Control Panel.
I can, of course, remove the line from the registry, but I'd really like to
know what it does and why it has suddenly begun to run. Could it be related
to a recent Windows Update?

Thanks for the informative link. I did find the Advanced Text Services in
Control Panel, under Regional and Language Options.
I am suspecting that it got "turned on" when I opened a Readme file that was
in Write format. I'm not aware of ever using Write.exe before. Sound
reasonable?

Interesting. I always thought it monitored program usage for defragging to
put frequently used programs first. You know, this program is used more
than that one, kind of like the way the "Personalized Menus" option works.
