II have XP with all updates. Suddenly I lost the desktop context menu
Enable Web Content and also the Web tab in display. I saw your answer
to someone last year:
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop
or
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop
Value Name: NoActiveDesktop
Value Type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: 0 or 1
0 (or not in the registry) = The policy is disabled or not configured.
Active Desktop is disabled by default, but users can enable it.
1 = The policy is enabled. Active Desktop is disabled, and users cannot
enable it.
Web tab from Display in Control Panel. "
HOWEVER I searched the registry and under
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
or
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\
I DO NOT have any settings for ActiveDesktop. I searched the entire
registry for "NoActive Desktop" and I DO NOT have it.
Your answer was so good before, but it won't work for me. Any ideas?
