new and old versions of office compatability

i was using a trial version of office 2003 on my new computer. but the trial
ran out so would office xp work for the documents i have already put on the
computer?

I believe that any Access Databases would work, but we don't call them
documents. It sounds like you are talking about Word.

If you have problems with versions you should be able to have someone
with the newer version open the file and save it as the prior version
