New Added Third Party Address doesn't receive mail

I have followed all the steps about adding a custom address to my
account and I am not able to receive messages.

I followed step mentioned: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&ctx=mail&answer=22370

I am able to see a drop down box if I would like to send messages
using the new added email as a sender when composing a new message but
I am not able to receive any messages under the new added email
address.

If anyone could help I really need it!
