Networking Win2000 with WinXP

Mike

I am trying to network and map a drive to a Win2000 Pro
PC from a WinXP Home PC through a D-Link DI-704UP router.
There is a network connection as I can print from WIN2000
to the printer attached to the WinXP PC. On the Win2000
PC I can also see all the folders on the XP drive but
Acess is denied when I try to open any of the folders or
files. It appears that all rights were given to everyone
for the XP drive. I really don't know where to look
anymore for a solution.

Hello Mike

Do you enabled any firewall software in your WinXP machine?
If you have enabled the firewall, it may caused such error.

I had already uninstalled Zone Alarm on both machines
until I could get the networking to work.
