Can't see Win2000 on network

Any idea why I can't see my Win2000 computer on my other network computers?
I have a WinXP desktop, WinXP Laptop and Win2000 desktop. I can see the
other 2 computers from the Win2000, but not vice versa. The drive is set for
shared. Thanks in advance :)

Are you trying to browse in the network neighborhood? Because then it
would most likely be NETBIOS not being installed on the one Win2000
machine.

It's when I'm on my WinXP(s), I can't grab files from the Win2000 directory
and when in network neighborhood, i can see computer name, but when i click
on it, message pops saying it's inaccessible. But, as i previously
mentioned, from the Win2000, i can see and grab from all other computers.
Thanks again,

This sounds most likely like a firewall issue on the Win2000 client.
Are you using Zonealarm or something like that?

By WinXP do you mean Home? My sympathies. But to make it work you have to
totally disable security on the W2K box. Enable the guest account, make sure
share and ntfs permissions are "everyone - full control" (or at least
read/write/change) (shudders).

do you mean i must do all this on my WinXP Home in order to see my Win2000
"d" drive?

No, you have to do it on the W2K computer (There is no real security in XP
Home).
