Hi,
Hope someone can help me. 2 of my 3 computers are working
on the network, on the internet. However the 3rd one is
having a problem. it doesnt seem like its beening asigned
an ip adress. It wont ping anything. i have
tried /release and /renew and it tells me on the renew
that its missing a file, but doesnt tell me what file.
Has anyone ever had a problem like this? any suggestions
on what to try would be great. the computer is running
windows xp pro.

thanks in advance

Rebecc,

It would be useful to provide ipconfig /all and /renew output.
Try to reinstal TCP/IP in Network Connection Properties. Point the system to
\Windows\Inf directory in 'Have disk...' during reinstall.
