ok I got 5 windows XP machines in the same workgroup but I still get
problems with computer. On one of the pc's even though its on same
workgroup I cant login from network neighborhood because it gives me u/p
screen with guest as username and grayed out ... another problem I got is I
always have to use u/p when going to a mapped drive on a different machine.
Where can I go to make XP remember all passwords? there is no remember
password checkbox when I click on mapped drives. Also if the password is
remembered .. where is it stored and how can I change lets say username on
it and diff password for that resource on the workgroup?

when you map a network drive, you will use your current u/p unless
when you first make the connection, you click the "connect as
different user". with a workgroup, there is no centralized user
database as in a domain/AD. put all 5 user accounts/passwords on all 5
machines.
