Username/password on network share

I realize there have been many threads on this subject, but I just
can't track my problem down.
Have small office network (workgroup). On win2000 desktop I have
shared folder(ESHARE). I want 4 users to have access to this. set up
new users with same Username/Password on win2000 desktop as each logs
onto there own laptop/pc. Usernames on win2000 desktop are all in
POWERUSER group with full access to ESHARE. All get access to ESHARE
without having to enter Username/Password except one XP home laptop
which always asks for Username/Password. I have checked the spelling
of username/password but still always asks. Any suggestions please.
Thanks

It's because XP Home can't cache passwords. If your user can't stand
entering in the necessary credentials, upgrade him to XP Pro.

Caching passwords is never a good solution. There are plenty
password-recovery utilities that can read them. A particular danger here is
if you've used the same password for several services, since being able to
recover the cached one may then allow the intruder to compromise other
services.

A better approach to a small-site network, doesn't demand that you upgrade
to Pro, gives users a 'proper' logon, and will work with a desktop OS as the
fileserver for <10 users:
