networking new Windows XP computer to my laptop

I

Ivo

I just bought a new desktop running XP and am trying to
network it into my existing network (which is a wireless
network connected to a cable modem and my laptop -- which
runs Windows 2000 -- and another computer running ME which
I have disconnected from the network for now). The
internet connection works for both the new computer and
the laptop -- but I don't know how I can get the two
computers to connect with each other (so I can share files
and a printer). Appreciate any help with this.

The easiest thing to do is to go ahead and make sure that they are in the
same workgroup and that a like username/password is created on both systems.

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup and that all useraccounts
exist on all computers. Got File- and printersharing loaded?
