Hi:

We run a Vista network, and until this morning it worked fine. However, for
some reason it crashed. I managed to get all (4) of the PC's to access the
same share folder again. The only issue left for now, is that while we can
see the same data (Excel), when we try to open it up on more than one PC, it
doesn't let us. The PC that is currently running the data has to close
before another PC can open it.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

Have you checked the file attributes to make sure that files is set to be
Shared?

Hi:

Yes, I have set the folder that has the files to share, with full
authorization, and the setting for number of users able to access and connect
is set at 10.

Still runing into problems with opening multiple instances of the same EXCEL
workbook.

This has nothing to do with the network at all. It is by design, it's called
"locking". I ran into this problem a few times back at a company I used to
work for. The reason it does this has to do with the way it saves changes
being made on the worksheet/workbook. Hop over to microsoft.public.excel and
they can give you a better explanation.
