Please help - I am having a problem with a computer
connected to the network... My husbands computer says
that the network cable is unplugged. He has two Nics and
it says it for both connections..... When I go into the
bridge connection it shows no IP address or subnet mask.
Please help me. Thank you

Have you tried to place an IP address and subnet mask into one of the NICs
TCP/IP configuration? Use the same IP address scheme/subnet mask and check
to see if the network connection works. If it does work, then you network
is using DHCP services and his XP did not get an IP address correctly.

If his network connection(s) still says the cable is un-plugged, then his
network cable could be bad or the NIC driver(s) may be corrupt. Try a
different network cable and try to reinstall the NIC drivers.

Y.
