Network problems

When I am logged onto my network and on the internet my modem wants to keep
dialing. Ran network troubleshooter and some items failed. I would like to
repair the failed items but do not know what to do. Can I uninstall and
re-install the ntework?

In other words, you have a broadband connection, not dialup but while you
are online, you continue to get prompts to dial, is that correct? If yes,
open Internet Explorer, go to Tools, select Internet Options, go to the
Connections tab, select "Never dial a connection," click apply and ok.
