Installed Vista... works great, only one problem... I used to be able to
connect to the internet... now it will only let me connect to my home
network... not the internet... what do I do?

Thanks in advance,
Josh

Try opening your XP style network settings for an easier look around -

Check that IPv6 and all the irrelevant protocols aren't checked, and make
sure the IPv4 settings are correct, including the DNS entries. Are you on a
workgroup or a domain?

I'm on a workgroup... It it supposed to be set up automatically (as in
obtaining the ip address, and the dns & DHCP servers...) So I have no
clue as to what has happened.

same here, network mask on xp (working) is 255.255.255.0 and vista is
255.255.0.0
how can i change it?
