Network Printing

We got a new LaserJet 4200n printer and set it up on the
network. No one was able to print except for
Administrators. So the work around is to add everyone to
the Administrator group but we don't want that. I check in
the security and added every possible group and one user
that I was testing with and still the test user could not
print. It would go through the whole process as it does
normally as if you open up the box you can see the print
job go through. On the server, two errors are in the Event
viewer.
First one: Event ID 45. Document failed to print due to
GDI/Driver error in rendering.
Second: Event ID 61. The document test page owned by josh
failed to print. Win32 error code returned by the print
processor: 1392 (0x570).
So I looked up these errors and some people say to delete
the driver and port and re-install. So I did. Still
nothing. This is a HP standard Ip port too.
Then I tried the permission settings on the spooler folder
and adding the right groups on that and still nothing. I
even change it to a different folder and added the groups
with full access still nothing. Yes, I did start and stop
the print spooler services.
I am ready to return this printer if I cannot get any help.

Thanks for lisening.

I have contacted Hp and and they say:
This would be a permissions issue. Contact Microsoft for
further assistance. Your JetDirect device and printer are
fine, but only users with certain rights can print.

I should add that this is a W2K Server platform running SP4.

Thanks, Steve

Hi - since you haven't quoted the original post in your reply, it's doubtful
most people will know what you're talking about.
