Network Printer

I have a small office with 5 computers all connected to a network hub. I want
to be able to print with the "network Laser printer". I have tried all the
suggestions turned off the firewalls, all the computers have File and printer
sharing turned on. When I try to find the printer, no printers or other
computers show up on the Microsoft network. What Next ? Thanks

How is the printer connected to the network?

Gordon,

The Printer is connected to one computer via a parallel port cable. The
other computers connect to that computer to use the printer.

Did you share it correctly? If so, go to another computer and go to Start >
Run > type in \\PrinterPC (substitute PrinterPC with the computer name of
the computer with the printer) and see if you can see the shared printer.
Also, you might need to play around with simple file sharing to get all this
working. See XP help system for that.

I presume that you have shared the printer.
Some printers require that the printing driver, etc., be installed on all
computers.

But, since you didn't disclose the make and model of the printer, I can't
tell you much more.
