Dear All,

Please help. I've changed the network login password in my
company's Windows 2000 server, but whenever I login with
either the new password or the old password, it's still
allowed. I've installed the service pack 4, and have
restarted the server, deleted all the .pwl files from the
pc, but I can still login with the old password/wrong
password from any pc in the network.

Thank you,

L.S.LIM

What is your client OS? If it is Windows 9x, then you are correct. 9x
doesn't "technically" login to the domain.

If you see this same issue on Windows 2K etc, then goto a cmd prompt and do
the following.

set l

(set space L)

You will then see the logonserver environment variable. Make sure it is an
actual domain controller, and not blank or the local system name.
