Network icon, yellow triangle

Richard Fangnail

Today I was using DSL normally when suddenly the blue globe on the
network icon turned into a yellow triangle. I couldn't load pages so
I restarted the modem and I'm okay.

This hasn't happened in 4-6 weeks so I'm not going to take action. In
the past I've sometimes lost the blue globe so that there's nothing
there except the two computer icon. But today the yellow triangle
appears, what could that mean? (The triangle means limited
connectivity and a red x means none. I suppose the modem could be
dying but I wonder why it went to the triangle this time.)

Limited usually means you have intranet access but no internet access.
