Network Connection Wizard Won't Open

Hello. I'm trying to set up a network connection in Windows XP. However,
when I click on the "Set Up a Home Network" button, nothing happens. On the
rare occasion something does, I am given a download window which does not
show the name of the download and the "save" option is blocked out.
Regardless of whether I click open or cancel, nothing happens. Is there an
alternative way to set up a network connection in XP or a way to fix this
problem? Thanks.

Please post back with a better description of how you are physically
setting up the network. Router or computer-to-computer? Hardware? In
