Network connection lost

0I am running Access 200 and after a few changes to my programme I keep getting

Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost

It seems to occur when I add the primary key field to a sub form. I have
tried to rebuild the table but to no avail. Any suggestions please

I thought that my version was up to date but will check this carefully.
However I also run XP and 2003 on the same machine. Will I mess anything up
if I try to install the service pack? I dont often use 2000, I know that it
is dodgy and I am always careful to open the right version before I load up
an application. Each version is loaded in separate disk folder
