Network Connection Fails on re-boot?

I have a persistent problem that is puzzling me. I have a home network
setup that worked fine until I installed XP SP2. Now every time I reboot my
main PC ( the one that connects to the Internet) the network drops out. All
the connections appear to be in place but I cannot ping any of the other
computers on the network.

If I run the home network wizard again it rebuilds the connections and every
thing is fine. However, it is becoming a pain doing this every time I
reboot. The problem appears to lie with the network bridge which sends out
packets but fails to receive them. I thought it was a firewall issue, but
with then all turned off the problem still occurs.

As well as XP firewall I am running Norton Internet security.

Any suggestion to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Uninstall the Norton firewall rather than disable it and see if the problem
persists.
