Network Cable Unplugged / Network Cable Plugged every few minutes

Hi
the message "Network Cable Unplugged / Network Cable Plugged" every few
minutes or so and it automatically connects but sometime it takes a long time,
I've Installed Win XP SP2, Windows Firewall, F-Secure Antivirus Trial
Version,PC is DELL OPTIPLEX GX270,

can anyone help me, Thanks in Advance

If you have a wireless connection, check the Authentication options in your
wireless network adapter's settings and make sure that you don't have 802.1x
authentication enabled. You'll find this by right-clicking your wireless
adapter in the Network Connections box, selecting Properties, then the
Authentication tab.

If you don't, check for problems with the network cables or the router, or
possibly a failing network card.

I dont have an wireless network, i will check with cables/routers. Thank you

i had that problem on an att 6850g router. finally junked the router
