I am installing an application which users the MAC address of the network
card for part of license code. The idea is that if it is copied to another
server it will not work. The server is running Windows 2000, but it has
multiple Networks cards. Ocassionally whent he server reboots the
application finds the wrong network card and so the application locks until I
get new license code from the vendor. I have raised this issue with the
vendor. There response is "The application uses the MAC of the Primary
Network Card; this is something which we have no control over"

Is there anyway within Windows that I can define which Network adapter will
be the Primary?

Thanks

Right-click My Network Places, Properties|Advanced|Advanced
Settings|Adapters and Bindings, then in the "Connections" box, you can set
the desired bindings order.
