Netmeeting no longer works after reloading windows messenger

I recently uninstalled Windows Messenger in order to install MSN messenger
6. After doing so, I found that netmeeting would no longer work. I
reloaded windows messenger, but I am still getting the message that it was
unable to log on to the directory server (MS Internet Directory) which did
work fine before I uninstalled it. I am running the most current version of
windows messenger 4.7.

Do I need to run a repair on Office Professional XP to fix this and
reinstall netmeeting? If so, will I have to reapply all the service patches
to Office XP?

Messager 6.0 replaces Netmeeting and Support for
Netmeeting phased out, there is even a timeline (i think
october 15) after that older netmeeting and msn messager
users can no longer connect.
