Well I am in the process of looking for a newsgroup most suited for me but
my computer doesn't want to wait. Does anybody know anything about a Network
Diagnostics Tool called Netdiag.exe,? From what I've learned it's a command
line tool that you can use to test the network connecivity of the computer.
I have a Dell WindowsXP 2003 Home Edition with Office installed Sp2. I'm
single and on a fixed income and none of my friends are really into
computers. Any advice would be welcome as I have a reputation for getting
into trouble with downloads and (from what I read) you have to do some
downloading with some possible bad effects. I don't know very much about
computers, but I sure love mine.

Netdiag is a tool supplied by MS since windows 2000. It is in the
support/tools directory on the cd.

Here is a good tutorial on usage in Server 2003--the usage is basically the
same on all NT based OSes.

Just choose Network troubleshooter in Help. It is netdiag in a friendly format.
