NetBEUI - map local folder as 'network drive'

Is it possible to map a locally shared folder on my own machine while not
conected to a LAN?

I've shared a folder as 'CAD' on my machine and will not be able to access a
LAN as there is weekend work on our network. I need to confiigure the
machines this way so an application can use the same paths as if the machine
was connected to a network, so will need a mapped drive called L: mapped to
\\<server>\CAD so as not to break the software.

is this possible? I've heard it was so if NetBEUI was installed as a
protocol..

It's nothing to do with netbeui

Go to a command prompt and type "subst /?"
