Strongly suggest you contact Aaron Stebner as he is *the* guru on .NET
installation issues and the author of the verification tool:

Copy those log files to the Desktop so as to preserve them. Aaron will
request you email them to him.
Hang in there ... I think the improper installation of .NET 2 SP1 is
affecting .NET 1.1, which Outlook requires as a runtime.
