.Net Framework and Windows Update

I have version 1.1.4322.573 of .Net Framework
on my XP Pro SP1 PC. When I go to Windows
update, it lists:
..Net Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3 *and*
..Net Framwork 1.1 Service Pack 1 as downloads I need.

Does this sound right? If I have .Net Framework 1.1 installed
why does it want me to install .Net Framework 1.0 Service Pack 3??

Because you also have the 1.0 Framework
The .Net Frameworks are side by side installs so the 1.1 did not replace the
1.0 install it installed beside it.

Thanks. That makes sense. However, having 2 separate
..Net Frameworks doesn't... Oh well.

Saw the updates last night and started them and went to bed.
When I awoke this morning on had completed but the other had
failed. I presume that my connection was broken and
auto-redial reconnected, but the install was halted.
There is a button to resume and it worked, most of the
failed update was already downloaded. V5 works.

You only need the latest. You can remove the older version via
Control Panel Add\Remove.
