net.exe file

Richard

When I shut down my computer a net.exe dialog box
immediately pops up, which says this application failed
to initate properly ( Oxcoooo141 ). Click on OK to
terminate the application. Windows XP still shuts down
afterwards but it does not matter whether I click on the
OK button or not. Each time I shut down this box ( error
message ) comes up. How do I find out what program it is
attached to so I can correct this problem?

Your system is likely infected by a trojan/virus.

First, disable the startup entries using msconfig. (click start | run |
msconfig | startup tab)
Then, update & scan the system using a good anti-virus software.
