Constant error message when shutting down

D

Dick Leavitt

9 out of 10 times that I shut down, an error message pops
up that says "The application failed to initialize
properly" The only "application" listed is "net.exe".
It then asks if I wish to shut down anyway, and I always
say "yes" and the computer shuts down. I've tried doing
some basic research but cannot activate a net.exe file,
and I don't know if this is s serious issue. Perhaps it
just requires that I reinstall a program, but, there
again, I have no idea what is causing this error
message. Can anyone help.

It appears that you may be infected with a virus. Please run a thorough scan
of your system with the latest virus definition
file for your anti virus program.
