nero tells me dvd drive in use by another application

i am having trouble burning dvd with nero, every time i try it tells me the
drive is in use by another application. i also notice there is no recording
tabs on either my cd-r drive, or dvd-ram drive properties. although i have
recently burned audio to my cd drive. i have deleted instant disc and i dont
have any other burning software loaded apart from dvd decrypter. i am running
win xp pro. and nero 6 any help appreciated
