Nero says: System ASPI driver not installed

I am still trying to get my combo drive to recognize blank dvd+/- RW media. I
used the NERO info tool and received a message stating that Nero's ASPI
driver is installed, but System ASPI not installed. Is this a contributing
factor to the problem? If so, how can I rectify it? Also, LG website is no
help with regards to downloading firmware for my drive, although I myself may
not be too cyber-smart. My drive is an HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4160N. Can ANYONE
help?
