Nero Info Tool says system aspi driver not installed

I wrote earlier about my combo drive not recognizing blank dvd rw's, both
plus and minus. I ran Nero info tool and got a message reading-Nero ASPI
driver installed, system ASPI not installed. Is this a contributing factor to
the problem, and if so, can it be rectified?

My OS is XP Pro
My combo drive is HL-DT-ST RW/DVDGCC-4160N
My burning software is Nero 6 Ultra Edition
My computer is an IBM Thinkpad T30

I have no problems burning to CD-R's, I just can't write or read blank dvd
+/- RW media. although my drive supports all formats. Please, someone help! I
have a special project I have to do for a special child by this Monday.

I have Nero and the same info about the ASPI installed
I have no problems burning or reading and CD / DVD so don't think that is
your problem
