DVD Burner Issue

Sounds similar to a problem we had at work. I'm no specialist but the company we bought the PCs off told us how to fix it even though they arent software specialists. So if it works thank the tech support team at the custom pc company nsysonline! :-

"...The other error you are getting could hint at the source of the problem.Can you have a look in the Registry for me:-

Go to “Start” >>>Run>>> type the word,>>> regedit>>>Click OK

Locate:-

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Class \ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Under the UpperFilters & LowerFilters >>> What does it say?"

In our case they identified InCD using the Lower Filter. They said uninstall it. We did and hey presto the whole thing worked like a dream.

They also added:-

"If still no joy, find the registry entry below again. Select Upperfilters (left click) and then right click and choose delete. Then click on File (at top left corner) and exit. It will ask for a reboot… let it and it should work."

Ok it worked for us - thanks nsysonline!

Untill beadadavid comes back with the information we need ... we can only gues at what the problem may be.

I agree, Incd has casused some problems for me, evena few crashes. I never used it so I uninstalled it, besides it runs in the background.

Yep, an earlier version of InCD caused problems with my AV, but was a known issue and OK once I updated InCD.
Never had a problem using InCD and burning with Nero though.

As you say Mucks, we need more info on the problem.......
