Needs help with desktop

Hello this is the first time I've tried this.Does anyone
know how to fix my problem?my desktop was messed with by
someone.All my folders are stuck to the left of the
screen. I cant drag them to another part of the screen
without the folder going back to the left side. Can anyone
tell me how i can get it back to the way it was? I would
be very,very grateful
 
Probably not the best group to post a problem like this. You should look for
one that is specifically for the OS you are using. This ng is for Active
Directory under Windows 2000 Server.

However, the answer is probably that they changes the "Arrange Icons"
setting. Right Click on the blank desktop and select "Arrange Icons By.."
selection and uncheck the "Auto Arrange" selection.
