Need Registry Key for Critical Battery Alarm Settings

I've got a laptop and I'm looking for the registry key that contains
the settings for the Low Battery Alarm warning and Critical Battery
Alarm (CBA)warning settings. The current slider won't let me go below
4% on the setting for the CBA.

I just replaced the battery with a new one and through experimenting,
I've figured I've got several minutes of usable time after the CBA
warning appears before the laptop simply shuts off. I'd like to be
able to use some of that usable time and still have power enough to
let the laptop hibernate before the batter dies. Ideally, I want to
set the CBA to 2%, but don't know where to make the registry change.

Thanks for the link, but that was a reply to a guy having problems
with a UPS. I'm not using a UPS. There has to be a registry entry
somewhere, but darned if I know where.

What you desire has nothing to with Windows or, perforce, Windows Registry.
Battery state is monitored by the laptop BIOS and is reported to Windows via
a driver developed by the manufacturer of your laptop.
You will have to either
(1) write and install your own BIOS
or (2) write and install your own driver
or (3) both (1) and (2)

Well, the adjustment sliders are shown when running in normal mode,
but not shown in safe mode, so I'm assuming Windows has some say in
the settings, or at least the display of the settings. There is
nothing in my BIOS that relates to the battery or its settings.

I found a solution to my problem. By simply taking out the battery and
running on AC power, I was able to set the sliders to the value I
want. After putting the battery back in, the setting seems to stick.
