Need more time to make a dial up connection

I can't seem to find the option to allow more time to connect to my
providers dial up service. All I can find is "time between redial
attempts" and "idle time disconnect" options. (xp Home)

In the control panel, open the phone and modem options. modem tab, right-click your
modem, properties, advanced tab, "change default preferences" button. Change the
connection time.
