Need help with Windows XP Certificate of Authenticity

I got AOL XP at a Rummage Sale with the certificate but it
says that the certificate is invalid! How do I get this
to work???
 
Do you mean OEM XP and when you install it and try to activate it you get a
message that the KEY is invalid. Well it's a pirated copy and you are out
the money you spend on it and you have to load your old OS.
