Need Help with CD drive

I put some music on a CD off from ITunes and it done good for a long time.
Then I put it in the CD drive and it popped up stated to "Burn a Disc"
"Prepare this blank disc" Disc title Nov 22 2008. I know it has music in
it. What am I doing wrong? It has never done this before.

If it's coming up with a message like 'burn a disc' and 'prepare this blank
disc' then the disc must be blank. Are you sure you have the correct disc
with your music on?

The easiest thing to do is cancel the disc burn message and open Windows
explorer. Scroll down to your CD/DVD and check to see if any contents show
up. If they don't then the disc is blank.

Incidentally have you tried using the disc in another PC or portable disc
player?

yes, I'm sure it was not a blank disc. I can bring it up in my daughter's
computer.

Is it a CD-R or CD-RW? Only if its a CD-RW I can think of why you still able
to burn to it.

You might try leaving the disk in the drive and restarting the computer. I
have had that work and the disk being recognised.

I would recommend you contribute instead of being a pest.

I would recommend that you concentrate more on the quality of your
help and that you post less frequently so that you can do that.
