Hi, everyone.
Due to a recent spyware infestation, I wanted to boot to safe
mode so I could run some cleanup programs--only to find that
every time I try to run in safe mode, I get a Blue Screen of
Death.
The last line displayed on the screen before the BSOD appears is:
agp440.sys.
The error message says:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to
prevent damage to your computer.
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly
installed.
I tried updating my video drivers, but it didn't help.
Unfortunately, I have installed NUMEROUS hardware devices AND
software applications since last booting into safe mode.
Can anyone give me some good suggestions for troubleshooting and
diagnosing this problem?
Thanks in advance....
