need help with boot loader

its been a few years and I forgot how to alter boot.ini to read an os on
sata and a second on ide.

I have xp pro on sata drive (not raid) and 98 on the ide drive. I can't get
the boot ini to point to the 98 drive. disk management calls it drive 1


I think my problem is the sata to ide issue, but need advice


this is how it is setup now:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP

no matter what settings I use in second line it won't work. I did this
before with xp home and xp pro, but I forgot....

You need to R.click my computer,properties,advanced,start up and recovery.
To edit use word pad.

I have edited it, thats why the second line about windows 98 is in there.
the problem is its not pointing correctly and I can't figure out why.
